Westlake Elementary Named Indiana Blue Ribbon School

Westlake Elementary received notification that it was one of only five Indiana schools to receive a Blue Ribbon Award. The National Schools of Excellence Blue Ribbon Awards program is administered through the United States Department of Education.

Dr. Suellen Reed, Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, said, “Everyone involved in these school communities – parents and students, faculty and staff – can take pride in the accomplishments and efforts represented in these Blue Ribbon nominations. I emphasize that recognition, like competition, is an energizing experience. It helps build stronger, better schools that work toward improving student achievement.”
